This is the progress so far on LHN Bookshelf. A very clever birthday choice from Nicola, combining my two loves of reading and stitching... I am having trouble with stitching the gold thread on the book spines, maybe I should try a shorter thread length, any tips would be welcome.

Looking good so far Clare.I would definitely try shorter lengths of metallic thread, also some people find Thread Heaven very good.Looking forward to seeing more progress pictures soon.
If you get a chance to use Treasure Braid.....go for it! I think it's the best 'gold' to stitch with and it's never a problem no matter what length I use.
Great job on it so far though, I'll keep following your progress, if I may?
